Boycott
Please join us in boycotting the following products and companies. Criteria to be placed on this list is having a racist hiring practice, racist treatment of consumers, spewing racial terms of abuse, contempt, or to express hostility like Rosie O'Donnell, Michael Richards, Shaq, Don Imus, Craig Carton etc.
What: Anything to do with the group Ching Chong Song.
Why:In Feb 2007, Bryn Mawr College canceled a performance by the group because students were upset by the name, for obvious reasons. The group's singer, Julia LaMendola, then wrote a completely ignorant, insulting, and illogical letter to the Bryn Mawr community and then according to one student, mocked Bryn Mawr students yet again.
What: Anything to do with Craig Carton and sponsers of his radio show wfan.com.
Why: Craig is racially offensive to Asian Americans and other groups on his radio show. Read more about it at diversityinc.
What: Anything to do with Rosie O'Donnell and The View TV show on ABC including hydroderm.
Why: On December 6, 2006, Rosie's racist Ching Chong "joke". Watch it here on youtube.
What: Anything to do with Michael Richards and the Seinfeld TV show, DVDs, memorabilia etc. Sell anything you have on ebay and craigslist.
Why: Michael's racist tirade at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles on November 17, 2006. Watch it here on aol.
What: Any product from Abercrombie & Fitch
Why: The racist T-shirts that they produced and then had Asian employees of theirs publicly defend.
A & F also has racist hiring and promotion practices and were sued in 2003. The case, Gonzalez et al. v. Abercrombie & Fitch was settled with A & F paying out $40 million to the class members!
Diversity and Inclusion? On the A & F website is a link at the bottom called Diversity. Click on it and the first image you see? An Asian woman being embraced by a white guy. At least there's a cut Asian guy at the end of the slide show. No Latinos that I can see, don't forget who sued A & F...
